Industry week at college

Our students are so enriched by other professionals in industry, that we holt the classes and dedicate a week to activities. Amazing industry experts from as far as London come to train them. 

High class local salon owners provide demonstrations and presentations to inspire the students in their future careers.

Body art fun

Brilliant session today with the hair and media make up team working on seasons and face painting . Really had fun and starting getting excited for our finale competition 25th May at The Muni in Colne where all the practising will pay off and the students can showcase their hard work and talents.

Busy day again in the Media team

Starting the day with a Lady Gaga inspired hair up. Watching videos and demonstrations are a great way of leeaning new styles and the results and pictures are great. We followed this  by a team building and communication session with Alexis #fun #experience

Clothes Show

It's always a great time of year to visit the clothes show and lots of fantastic stocking fillers, see up and coming trends and of course to watch the amazing highlight of the day the Show itself and of course Joey Essex and  Charlotte Crosby

Temporary colouring

Making and using your own stencils out of paper is great fun and very cheap to do , as the apprentices found out last week. All you need is some firm paper a pair of scissors  for a stencil and some coloured spray for fun results. Health and safety was followed and instructions read then see the results for yourself. Well done Vickie for the moonlight scene and Beth for a festive snowman ! 

L'Oreal Day 1

Amazing day one at the Manchester Studio on Deansgate. The colour change course has covered clients do's and  don'ts and what recommendations can be made to make a colour tone or base look different . 

Here's today's work , I worked with Chloe from Toni & Guy on Deansgate. We were more than pleased with the result and so was our client, see the results for yourself. 

The client had put a plum colour on at home and wanted to change to copper. We gently cleansed the hair and the applied 5.45 Inoa colour with 20 vol.

Beth's on a roll

Another Apprentice stylist Beth, producing a horizontal roll, perfect for that vintage look. She works at Emma B's and is enjoying her training with her employer and college, looks like it's paying off Beth!
